Is YotPost.com an agency?
No. YotPost is recruitment software for captains, vessels, and agencies. It helps publish direct vacancies and organize applications generated through social media, websites, messaging groups, and personal networks.
Can recruitment agencies use YotPost?
Yes. We support and encourage working with professional recruitment agencies. Agencies can use our proprietary in-house hiring software to publish job postings, manage applicants, coordinate interviews, and share hiring records, while captains and crew can continue using trusted agency services alongside YotPost.
Should I use an agency or opt for direct hire?
Use the approach that fits the role. A good agency adds valuable expertise, vetting, discretion, and hands-on support, especially for specialist or confidential searches. YotPost also supports direct recruitment when you already have candidate reach or cannot yet justify the agency expense.
If you recommend agencies, then why do you offer this service to Captains directly?
Because not every vessel can justify agency support for every vacancy. YotPost is not designed to replace agencies or simply cut costs; it gives captains a professional way to manage the direct recruitment they would otherwise run through social posts, messages, and spreadsheets. We encourage agency support whenever it adds value.
